Uncle Dave Lewis lives in a hole in the back of his brain, filled with useless trivia about 78 rpm records, silent movies, unfinished symphonies, broken up punk bands from the 80s and other old stuff no one cares about. This is where he goes to let off a little steam- perhaps you will find it useful, perhaps not. Who knows?

I can't help but notice that the tagline for the current war "Operation Iraqi Freedom" is, well, less than inspired. Not nearly as poetic as "Operation Desert Storm".
I understand that it was picked over Sec'y Rumsfeld's original suggestion "Operation Whack Iraq".
(Okay - that's a joke okay?)

I will be on WCBN at 5pm tomorrow ET doing "The Duke is on the Air". It may be reached at www.wcbn.org or on the air
in the Ann Arbor area at 88.3 FM on your radio dial. Join me if you are able to tear yourselves away from your televisions long enough.

Carpeting did not go well today; in fact, it ultimately did not go - at all. Details later - I have to read a story to my little one this eve.
