Happy Birthday to Me!
This blog is one year old as of Sunday. Perhaps we could get Uncle Al and Captain Windy to put it on the carousel.
And obviously if you didn't grow up in Cincinnati you didn't get that lame joke.
Mommy! Lucky the clown's breath smells like alcohol!
There's Something About This Time of Year
Just before Spring comes - old man winter still has his grip on everything, including the people.
Spalding Gray has come home - his body was found floating in the East River about a week ago.
Dave Blood, onetime bassist of the punk band The Dead Milkmen (who I didn't like, but that's beside the point) has also ended his own life.
Also, it's official - a missing persons report has been filed on Bozy White. Bozy is the world's premier expert on Bunny Berigan and a highly respected scholar in the field of jazz. He is 76 years old - I certainly hope he is soon located, and alive.
I had written this long thing about a scrap I got into with Bozy over the presence of Joe Venuti on a Raymond Scott record. It was funny and I was getting into it, but somehow I manage to hit the "Esc" key by accident and the whole thing disappeared. I guess that's a story that is not meant to be told today; perhaps it's something about this time of year...
