Uncle Dave Lewis lives in a hole in the back of his brain, filled with useless trivia about 78 rpm records, silent movies, unfinished symphonies, broken up punk bands from the 80s and other old stuff no one cares about. This is where he goes to let off a little steam- perhaps you will find it useful, perhaps not. Who knows?

More Details on New Radio Show

Uncle Dave will be heard on WCBN-FM tomorrow morning, September 16, 2004 from 6 to 9 AM.
I don't expect ANY of you to be awake or otherwise idle during these hours, but if you happen to be seated at your bowl of Wheaties or checking your email before going to work anytime from 6 to 9, tune me in at www.wcbn.org and "Listen Live."

This is my first broadcast in nearly a year. The show will only be held bi-weekely, as I am alternating programs with the capable and lovely
Malini Sridharan. Featured on this epsiode will be Anne Akiko Meyers' new recording of Debussy's Violin Sonata, works of Beth Anderson and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and the 1901 recording John Philip Sousa made of the dirge he wrote for Ulysses S. Grant's funeral. Also there will be some sad music appropriate for the forthcoming invasion of New Orleans by hurricane Ivan.
